I updated my home page on my website, check it out!

And I can't believe my boy is 5 now... he's grown too fast! So I had to take some photos of this milestone and got a short slideshow together. These shots were taken in our neighborhood and in Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. Notice we "spiked" up his hair a bit with some gel - something he's been wanting to do :)

Sarah Photo Session

Over the weekend I had a great time photographing Sarah. Her beautiful dogs were there to join the shoot as well! Sarah's striking good looks and Maryland's picturesque landscape made for some great photos. Check out the slideshow and post a comment!

Yesterday we celebrated Ethan's 16th birthday and Nicole and John's high school graduation. Of course I had my Canon cameras with me so I just put together a slideshow featuring photos of Amanda, Ethan & Nicole with some family and friends. I had both cameras when I shot this and John DiCocco was more than thrilled to shoot with me. So I handed him one of my Canons and we both just clicked away. He captured some awesome shots. Let me know what you think and don't forget to mouse over the bottom right-hand corner of the show's screen if you want to browse the photo gallery, or view the full screen.

OpenSourcePhoto: What do you think?

Being in a client driven, word-of-mouth business, I read many other photographer's blogs to learn vicariously from their experiences. I am currently going through a customer service issue right now for one of my clients which I've handled quite well and my client has been very understanding about me and my vendor trying to get her product built and delivered. In the end, it's all about client service and communication and to underpromise, but overdeliver, which I know I tend to do already. Anyway, I came across this post at David Jay's blog (Santa Barbara, CA wedding photographer) and it includes some big names in the wedding photography industry commenting on the horrible client service provided by a web design company .... ugh, when I redesign my site in mid-late 2008, I'm staying away from www.skooks.com. You don't have to be a photographer to appreciate the comments in the blog, click on the link below and see for yourself!

Jordan Slideshow

We took some new pictures of baby Jordan on Saturday. As I was going through the photos I was amazed at how much she's grown and that time really flies, and she's not even 6 months old yet! Anyway, I combined some of Jordan's older photos with Saturday's photos to make a slideshow that I'm sure all her fans will enjoy.

Jordan's new ExerSaucer!

She loves the thing! Thanks to cousin Roman who was nice enough to let her use it so she can work those active legs at 3 months old!

Property Shoots

Photographing properties for clients not only provides another source of income, but another avenue to network. Anyway, here are a few shots from today. I have 6 properties to shoot next week, then 6 more in Richmond, VA and Virginia Beach the following week... can't wait for the VA Beach shoots because you know I'm going to try and catch a sunrise!

Chas & Stacey's Photo Session

A couple of months ago, I had the pleasure of working with Chas and Stacey, who happen to be twins. They wanted to surprise their mom and grandmother with a Mother's Day video/slideshow consisting of old photos, video footage I filmed, and photos I took of them present day. Their mom and grandmother absolutely loved the results and it brought a tear to their eyes. Take a look!

Needless to say, Chas and Stacey's idea was a success! So I decided to make my own slideshow with the photos I took of them myself. I'm stoked how cool it turned out!

Nate Takes a Ride Around the Block!

Nathan still loves his ride that he got for Christmas in 2005 - a Power Wheels Fire Rescue Jeep. I wish I had one of these when I was a kid! Anyway, I couldn't resist bringing my Canon 30D and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM zoom lens and snap a few moments. While we were out, a friendly couple at the playground asked about Nate's Jeep and noticed my monstrous camera. Needless to say it lead to a nice conversation about taking his family portraits! Gotta love generating business when you least expect to!

Nate wanted to strike a pose for me :)

Jennifer & Jeff's Engagement Session

On Memorial Day I had an awesome engagement photo session with Jennifer & Jeff. They're getting married next year at Historic St. Mary's City. But why wait to enjoy the place? So we decided to do the engagement session there! Check out their slideshow below!
